Feeding and Rescuing Together is located in Timberlake, North Carolina. FRT is primarily run by individuals from our community who volunteer their time and expertise to keep our support programs running.

Our Mission

Our mission is to keep all bowls, buckets and feeders full be it dogs in need or livestock. Our future goals are to rescue more animals in need and reduce the suffering of animals through our adoption, interactive education programs and utilizing our mobile pet pantry. Feeding and rescuing are only part of what we wish to accomplish. Our ultimate goal is to become a place where the community can go to learn about animal husbandry, urban homesteading and basic home vet care. Future partnerships with local Vets, will enable us to offer low cost vaccinations and spay/neuter.

Our History

FRT started with one woman’s big heart, a dream and the goal of helping neglected, unwanted, abandoned and homeless animals. Starting with dogs and cats, her love has progressed to fill the void in our community for a safe and welcoming place for farm animals to find their fur-ever homes. With help from supporters the mobile pet pantry will be just the beginning, leading the way to opening a larger farm animal rescue, animal sanctuary and interactive education center promoting humane farming.
