FRT’s youth and education program teaches young adults (ages 14-20) humane farming practices, animal husbandry and urban homesteading. Our young volunteers get hands on working with our animals including horses, cows, goats, sheep, pigs, chickens, ducks, dogs and many other farm animals. Our farm is a no judgement, fun, safe atmosphere where they can be themselves, make new friends and learn many new things.

For 2024 We are planning on building an offgrid camp for our young volunteers while they are at the farm. If you’d like to donate building supplies or gift cards to lowes or home depot please email me at feedingandrescuingtogetherinc@gmail.com

The camp will have an outdoor kitchen, bunkhouse and bathroom facility with shower for our volunteers. We hope to also use this space to allow our volunteers to raise chickens, rabbits, garden and possibly a greenhouse. It will be right next to the goat pasture and we may move the milking parlor to this new camp to allow our youth to partake in goat milking, processing and goat milk soap making as future classes. We will also use this space to meet up, have bbqs and have fun.
